I studied Computer Science at the University of Alicante (2004). I started a scholarship in 2003 at the Department of Software and Computing Systems in 2003, and I got the diploma on Advances Studies on Computer Science Applications in 2006. I continued collaborating with this group and researching mainly on Question Answering and Word Sense Disambiguation. In 2010 I defended my thesis at the University of Alicante: “An approach to Word Sense Disambiguation based on Semantic Classes and Machine Learning” (download).
I kept working at the University of Alicante in different European and national projects untill September 2011. Then I moved to The Netherlands, with a postdoc position at the University of Tilburg within the ILK (Induction of Linguistic Knowledge) Group. On September 2012 I moved to the Vrije University of Amsterdam and joined the CLTL group, where I am nowadays still working. For more details about the projects in which I have been involved, please visit the page Research.
